MediConnect Record Retrieval Service does the work for you of contacting your doctors, retrieving your medical records, organizing, digitizing and uploading your records securely into your PassportMD account.
What is the Safety Deposit Box?
With Safety Deposit Box you enjoy unlimited access to your own secure and centralized repository for digital copies of all your important life documents. You can upload, print and view digital copies of your personal health record (PHR), living wills, advanced directives and more. Then easily access them anytime you need them, anywhere in the world.
What is MyRemindeRx?
MyRemindeRx is a unique tool that lets you send friendly automated telephone messages to you or your loved ones as reminders to:
- Take medications on time and in the proper dosage
- Monitor blood glucose
- Track blood pressure
- Follow through on physical therapy directives
- Remember the time and date of important doctor appointments or other medical events
These messages are easily created and updated, simply record your own personalized message, or choose one that is computer-generated. They can be sent to anyone at any phone number in the United States, up to 6 times per day, at any hour of the day.

Doctor Connector allows you to control exactly what information from your personal health record (PHR) and doctor's notes you share with your doctors or healthcare providers. It's safe and easy.
What is Wellness Tracker?
Wellness Tracker helps you monitor your meals and nutrition, fitness data, vital medical statistics and then make custom reports that help you stay on track toward accomplishing your wellness goals.
What is Health Savings?

How Much Does PassportMD Cost?
A PassportMD personal health record account is FREE. There are no monthly fees or start-up costs. Fees are only incurred if you request PassportMD to retrieve your medical records from your doctor(s) on your behalf. Otherwise, you can retrieve, upload and store your records on your own, with no cost to you.
How Much Does MediConnect Record Retrieval Cost?
Medical Records
For just $29.95* per request, your MediConnect retrieval specialist will contact your healthcare provider to collect, organize, digitize and upload your medical records directly into your secure PassportMD account.
PassportMD's eRadiology Room
For a fee of $39.95* per request, your MediConnect retrieval specialist will collect, organize and digitize your X-ray, MRI or CAT scan images and upload them into your private PassportMD eRadiology Room. Here you can share these diagnostic-quality images with your doctors by giving them authorized access to see only the specific records you want them to see.
*Provider Copying Fee
Although your medical records belong to you, the law does allow for providers to charge a reasonable fee to cover the cost of copying your records, typically ranging from $0.50 to $1.00 per page. To cover this cost, MediConnect includes a $45 pass-through charge per request. If, due to the size and/or number of medical records being retrieved, the provider copying fee exceeds $45; your record retrieval specialist will contact you directly for authorization to proceed.
Will my records be safe with PassportMD?
Yes. You are the only person authorized to access or provide access to the information in your account. The PassportMD process to retrieve doctors' records is done using HIPAA-compliant forms. We use a minimum of 256-bit Secure Socket Layer ("SSL") encryption technology (although the precise level of encryption ultimately may be dependent upon your browser), and all of your information is password protected. Additionally, all information is kept in a highly secure US-based facility, guarded 24 hours a day by armed guards, security sensors, cameras, and multiple levels of security measures.
Can I take these records with me?
Yes. Today portable medical records are a reality. In addition to accessing your records from any computer connected to the Internet, you also have the option of printing your records or saving the information to your hard drive, a USB or CD-ROM. PassportMD also offers a portable USB medical key chain ($24.95 each) for customers who want to keep their information with them at all times.
How do I share my records with other physicians?
By using Doctor Access, a free service associated with the Doctor Connector tool, our secure HIPAA-compliant system allows you to send an invitation to your physician to view your records. Once your physician accepts your invitation, they will be able to view only what you allow.
In an emergency can my account be accessed?
Yes. PassportMD has created a Doctor Access/911 Service, which enables an emergency responder to view your account through an emergency password.
What types of medical records are important?
Physicians and medical personnel are most interested in your medical history, allergies, and medications you may be taking. Records that are extremely helpful are your EKGs, labs, MRIs, CAT scans and X-ray reports. In addition, health officials recommend you have access to any special instructions, living wills, donor information, or power of attorney notices. All of these records are easy to create, store securely, and are always accessible with PassportMD.
What about insurance information?
In your Personal Health Record (PHR) under “Personal Information,” you may add your health insurance provider including your policy information and the insurance provider's phone number. You may also add your emergency contact information to your Contact Profile, your Family History information, or any information you feel is important in creating a complete personalized health and medical record.
How many family members are included in my PassportMD account?
Each PassportMD account is for individual use, so it is advisable that every family member have their own PassportMD account.
What is PassportMD’s cancellation policy?
Any account may be cancelled at any time, for any reason, and without charge or penalty. To protect your identity, all cancellations must be received in writing to the address below or via email to passportmd@mediconnect.net:
